Progesterone is a hormone present in both males and females. The levels of progesterone an individual has can affect many body functions and physical features. Progesterone works in the body to prevent high levels of dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. Progesterone actually binds to 5-alpha which prevents the production of DHT. With too much DHT hair loss can occur. Thus, with an increase in progesterone levels in the body, DHT is less likely to be made and hair loss is less likely to occur.
Use
Progesterone treatment can come in the form of pills or creams. Usually application creams contain a small amount of only 1-2% concentration to start with.
Results
